Following the resounding success of the original Pursuit store in Breckenridge, Bertrand and Rita sign a multi-year deal with their first valued partner - Big Time Adventure, Inc. in the summer of 2013.

Shortly after, Pursuit becomes the exclusive distributor of these products. Popularity soon skyrockets and Bertrand considers the next step in the growth of the company.

With the smashing success of the Breckenridge location, it was only a matter of time before Bertrand decided to expand Pursuit to other markets. Starting in early 2014, Pursuit opened three new retail locations -- one in Aspen, one in Vail, and one in Steamboat Springs.

During this expansion, the employee base at Pursuit grows from a mere 25 employees to over 150.

Meanwhile, Bertrand is hard at work finding more trusted partners to grow the burgeoning brand. Popular outdoor brands such as Hike, Inc., Over the Top Adventures, and Pikes Peak Climbing Company sign on to supply products to all of Pursuit's stores.

While the new Pursuit retail locations in Colorado continued to enjoy remarkable success, Bertrand had a dream to expand not only within the United States, but all over the world. With this in mind, Pursuit's online store was born in the first quarter of 2016.

The e-commerce brand started modestly with a small selection of niche outdoor products. However, with demand through the roof throughout the world, Bertrand quickly expanded the online store to include over 200 products.

While facing unprecedented demand for Pursuit's exclusive lineup of brands and products, Bertrand knew that he must continue to adapt and expand in order to meet his customers' needs.

The second half of 2017 was a period of tremendous growth for both the physical retail side of the business as well as the online side. Thanks to a new partnership in the Pacific Northwest, Bertrand was able to successfully open 14 new stores in just three months in Washington state, Oregon, and parts of Northern California. These stores immediately flourished and the Pursuit brand reached new heights.

Meanwhile, the e-commerce side of the business also continued exponential growth. The catalog quickly grew from 200 products to over 3,000 during this time.

Bertrand credits Pursuit's extreme growth and overwhelming success to the unbelievable community of customers that have trusted the brand over the last 10 years or so.
